02The park
- It's a wildlife park with over 1,000 animals from more than 100 species. It is visited in two zones: the Safari area, which you drive through, and the walk-through area.
- The park covers 45 hectares. The Safari area takes up about 35 hectares and is a 4 km route where you see the animals up close, with no barriers.
- You can do the safari in your own car (campervans too), in the park's electric cars or on the guided road train. The electric cars and road train cost extra, cannot be booked and are requested at the ticket office while availability lasts.
- The Safari area is home to lions, tigers, hippos, giraffes, Grant's zebras, American bison, African and Asian elephants, camels, dromedaries, ostriches, llamas, wildebeest and many species of antelope, among others.
- All the animals have been born in controlled environments for generations. The park closes at around 17:00 even in summer, so that the animals, mostly herbivores and active by day, can rest and eat in peace before sunset.
03What to see
The walk-through area has Baboon Island, Lemur Island, the Chimpanzee Oasis, the siamang and gibbon house and the Education Centre with the Reptile House and an aquarium. There are also meerkats, otters and large aviaries.
The Chimpanzee Oasis, opened in 2015, has around 1,500 m² of outdoor space. The group belongs to the subspecies Pan troglodytes verus, the most endangered, and is part of the EAZA's European EEP programme.
Tom, born in December 2023, is the first chimpanzee of the verus subspecies born in an Italian zoo. On 1 May 2025 Jane was born, named in honour of Jane Goodall.
To create the park, 1,500 trees and 4,300 shrubs were planted. The 1,200 m² 'Grande pensilina' (Great Canopy), covered with solar panels, houses the café, picnic area, shop, toilets, baby-care room and play area.
The park is run by Alfa 3000 S.r.l.

04With children
- A full visit takes at least 3 hours: about 1 hour for the safari plus the walk-through area.
- If you arrive in your own vehicle, it's best to start with the safari. If you're waiting for the road train or the electric cars, you can visit the walk-through area first, which opens at 11:00.
- Under the Great Canopy there is a baby-care room with changing table, a picnic area for packed lunches and a café with a gluten-free menu. Next to it is Safarilandia, an inflatables area (extra charge).
- Small dogs can do the safari in the car, as long as the animals can't see them. Medium and large dogs wait in the kennels at the entrance for the duration of the safari. In the walk-through area all dogs must be kept on a lead.
