01KEY 2027: where to stay in Rimini
KEY – The Energy Transition Expo (the fair many still call Key Energy or K.EY) returns to the Rimini Expo Centre (Fiera di Rimini) from 10 to 12 March 2027. It is Italy’s key event for the energy transition: photovoltaics, wind, storage, efficiency, electric mobility and grids. The 2026 edition featured around 1,000 brands in 24 halls, with attendance up 10%.
Alongside KEY runs DPE – International Electricity Expo, dedicated to electricity generation, transmission and distribution. Hotel Viking is in Viserbella di Rimini, 5 km from the exhibition centre, and open all year round.
02From the hotel to KEY in 10 minutes
In March the days at the fair are long: from the hotel you’re at the East entrance in 10 minutes, and in the evening you come back to a quiet place near the sea.

On fair days, from Viserbella you travel against the traffic: in the morning you get into the fair without queues and in the evening you’re back at the hotel in a few minutes. At reception we’ll give you the shuttle timetable and stop.
03A hotel that practises the energy transition
People who work in energy appreciate figures. On the roof of Hotel Viking there are solar thermal panels for hot water and a 7.5 kWp photovoltaic system, which in Romagna produces around 10,500 kWh of clean energy a year. We are planning another 38 kWp, to reach 45.5 kWp in total.
In the car park there are 22 kW charging points: if you come to the fair in an electric car, you can charge it overnight while you sleep. All the details are on the eco-friendly hotel page.
