A day out with the children from Hotel Viking, the Antonioli family's family hotel in Viserbella di Rimini: Mirabilandia is Ravenna's big amusement park, opened in 1992, with record-breaking roller coasters, themed areas for children and the Mirabeach water park next door.
It is 36.2 km from the hotel, about 50 minutes by car. After the park, head back to the pool or the beach, 100 metres from the hotel.

02The park
- Mirabilandia opened its gates on 4 July 1992, next to the Classe pine forest on the Adriatica main road, in a spot that would later take the park's name.
- It bills itself as the largest amusement park in Italy.
- The themed areas are Route 66, Far West Valley, Adventureland, Dinoland, Ducati World and, since 2025, Nickelodeon Land, with SpongeBob and Patrick, Dora, the Ninja Turtles and PAW Patrol.
- Katun, opened in 2000, is the longest inverted coaster in Europe: more than 1,200 metres of track, a top speed of 110 km/h, a 360-degree loop and a 50-metre drop.
- iSpeed, opened in 2008 in place of the historic Sierra Tonante, is described as the world's first magnetic launch roller coaster and the tallest in Italy: it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds and climbs to 55 metres.
- Divertical, opened in 2012, is billed as the tallest water coaster in the world.
03What to see
The 90-metre Eurowheel opened in 1997. At the time it was the tallest in Europe; today only the London Eye beats it on the continent.
Ducati World, opened in 2019, covers 35,000 square metres and is the world's first themed area inside an amusement park dedicated to a motorcycle brand.
Rio Bravo, the white-water rapids ride in rubber rafts, has been there since the park's early years and is still running.
Next to the park is the Mirabeach water park, with attractions for younger children such as El Castillo, Rio Angel, Laguna del Sol and Baía de Ondas. There is also a combined Mirabilandia + Mirabeach ticket.

04With children
- Check your children's height before you go: many rides are suitable for little ones, but some have a minimum height or require an accompanying adult.
- Arrive early: the car park opens at least 30 minutes before the park, and the earlier you arrive, the closer to the entrance you can park.
- Use the official app to check queue times and show times. You can also leave your shopping at the shop and collect it on the way out.

05Opening times, tickets and parking
Season: the 2027 calendar has not been published yet. The park usually opens in spring and closes in early November. In 2026 the shows run from 2 April to 1 November and the Halloween event from 26 September to 1 November. Check the opening days on the official calendar, as the management may change them. Tickets: buy them online on the official website, where they cost less than at the gate; they include the 'Garanzia Bel Tempo' (good-weather guarantee: if it rains during your visit, you can come back free). There is also an evening ticket with entry from 17:00. Children under 100 cm go free and over-60s pay the reduced price. Prices vary with promotions: you will find them on the park's website. Parking: the park's car park opens at least 30 minutes before the park. Prices and details are on the park's website. By car from the Riviera: SS16 Adriatica towards Ravenna, or the A14 to the Cesena Nord exit and the E45 dual carriageway towards Ravenna, exit 'Mirabilandia'. By train: the nearest station is Lido di Classe/Lido di Savio, linked to the park by a shuttle bus timed to meet the main trains.

06How to get there from Hotel Viking
Mirabilandia is at Savio di Ravenna, north along the Adriatica main road (SS16). By car it is about 36 km from the hotel, 45–50 minutes: leave Viserbella on the SS16 and carry on towards Ravenna. The park's car park opens at least half an hour before the park.
