How far is the hotel from the Rimini Expo Centre?
The Rimini Expo Centre (Fiera di Rimini) is about 5 km away, 10 minutes by car. Take the link road to the SS16 and you reach the fair’s East entrance, against the flow of trade-fair traffic.
How far is Italia in Miniatura?
Italia in Miniatura is 1 km from the hotel as the crow flies, 1.8 km by road.
How do I get there by train?

02Your stay and facilities
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 12:00 to 20:00 and check-out is by 9:30. Arriving later? Just let us know.
Is the hotel open all year?
Yes, Hotel Viking is open all year round, winter too, apart from two weeks in September. The Antonioli family lives on site.
What board options do you offer?
Bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all inclusive. Whenever meals are included you also get water, the vegetable buffet, a choice of menu, fruit and desserts. Our cooking is Romagna food and seafood. In winter half board doesn’t always show up in the online booking: just call us and we’ll set it up.
What is the garden barbecue like?
Once a week, usually on Thursday, we hold a big barbecue in the garden. The meat is grilled in front of you for the main course, alongside pasta from the menu and the vegetable buffet, so vegetarians and vegans are well looked after too. If the weather lets us down, dinner moves to the dining room.
What are the rooms like?
Every room has a sea-view balcony, air conditioning you control yourself (heating in winter), a 32–40 inch LED TV, a safe, a phone, free Wi-Fi and a refurbished bathroom with a shower cubicle. The family Junior Suites (about 25 m²) have two separate bedrooms sharing one bathroom.
Is the Wi-Fi free?
Yes, fast 100 Mbps fibre Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
Is there parking?
Yes, we have a fenced private car park with CCTV opposite the hotel, at €6 per night. There’s room for vans, work vehicles and coaches too.
When is the pool open?
The pool is open from late May to early September. It’s in the sun all day, the water is unheated and is treated with ozone and salt (so less chlorine), and there’s a lifeguard. Next to it is a large Jacuzzi hot tub, which opens and closes depending on the weather and how warm it is.
03Families and pets
Are pets allowed?
Yes, Hotel Viking is a dog-friendly hotel: well-behaved dogs and other pets are welcome for €6 per night. Right in front of the hotel there’s a partner beach set up for dogs.
Is the hotel suitable for children?
Yes. We have a pool and hot tub with a lifeguard, a playground, a garden, table tennis, table football, a children’s menu and family Junior Suites. On the beach there’s a kids’ club all day, and in the evening there are shows along the seafront. Cots for children up to 2 years old are free on request.
Do you sell tickets for the amusement parks?
Yes, on request we can get you discounted tickets for Mirabilandia, Italia in Miniatura, Fiabilandia, Oltremare, Aquafan and other parks when our price is the better deal. Early and late in the season it’s usually cheaper to buy them online from the park’s own website.

10FAQ
Do you cater for coeliacs and people with food intolerances?
We are very careful about cross-contamination and do our best, but we don’t have two separate kitchens, so we cannot guarantee the complete absence of traces. Let us know before you arrive and we’ll talk it through together.
