These are photos of Hotel Viking, the Antonioli family's hotel in Viserbella di Rimini. We took them ourselves, here at the hotel: the pool, the rooms, the garden, the food and the beach just in front of us. 01The hotel
We're on a quiet street in Viserbella, a hundred metres from the beach and the Parco del Mare. The garden is full of trees and fenced in, and its gates open onto a side road away from the traffic.
02The rooms
There are thirty-eight rooms, every one with a balcony. Five are Junior Suites with two separate rooms and two balconies, one of them large and looking out to sea. The bathrooms have been refitted in the last few years, with shower cubicles.
03The pool and hot tub
The pool is 110 cm deep and faces south, so it gets the sun from morning until sunset. The water is treated with an ozone system, which means much less chlorine. Right next to it is the Maxi Jacuzzi hot tub, free to use. There's always a lifeguard on duty.
04The garden and the bar
The white gazebo is the place to eat, have a drink or sit in the shade. The bar stocks barrel-aged grappas, gin, draught beer and cocktails, and there's table football and table tennis for the kids.
05At the table
Romagna home cooking with two or three menus to choose from each day, fish at every meal and a vegetable buffet. On Thursdays we grill meat and vegetables in the garden and everyone eats together.
06The beach
Viserbella beach is a hundred metres away, with no busy roads to cross. The entertainers are down there all day, and in the evening the fun moves to the traffic-free seafront.
07The Antonioli family
We've run the hotel for over thirty years and we live here too. Two cats live in the garden, and your dog is welcome: the beach in front is dog-friendly as well.
08What you see in the photos
The photos of Hotel Viking follow a typical day in Viserbella di Rimini: the breakfast buffet, the beach 150 metres away, the pool and hot tub in the afternoon, a drink at the bar and dinner from our Romagna kitchen.
All the rooms have a balcony, and the Junior Suite has two separate rooms for families. The garden is shaded by trees and fenced, with table tennis, table football and a play area.
